Frequency multipliers

It’s quite easy to loose 6 - 10dB (or more!!) of phase noise performance – above the 6dB inherently lost at each doubling of frequency – by using inappropriate frequency multiplier designs. This is particularly true of frequencies of the order of 1 – 50MHz from the carrier.
